What this actually does
Every slide is drawn at its own size, shape by shape, where the deck puts them: backgrounds, boxes and their fills, text with its face, size, weight, colour, alignment and bullets, pictures, tables, connectors and groups — inheriting from the layout and the master the way PowerPoint does. Animations and transitions have no still equivalent. A gradient is drawn as its first colour, and SmartArt and charts come through as their text and boxes rather than as artwork.
